There are two schools of thought when it comes to trail mix: fill it with nuts, seeds, and other actually healthy snacks (weirdos), or maximize the chocolate. You can guess which camp Ben & Jerry's falls into.
This summer, the ice cream giant has a new flavor coming out that puts a super-sweet spin on trail mix. Glampfire Trail Mix combines chocolate ice cream, marshmallow swirls, crunchy pretzel swirls, and fudge-covered almonds. Food Banter vouched for the amount of marshmallow involved, calling it a "marshmallow pool" in its review of the new flavor, and likened the pretzel swirl to Ben & Jerry's graham cracker swirls. You might remember those from flavors like Strawberry Cheesecake and Coconut Seven Layer Bar.
According to Ben & Jerry's, the flavor is "inspired by glampfire tales of outdoorsy getaways filled with indoorsy perks." To get it, you'll need to head to civilization... or at least as far as Target, where it's a summer exclusive, Brand Eating reports. The flavor is already up on Target's website, though it's not available to purchase online, sadly.
Ben & Jerry's second summer flavor puts the hands-down best summer dessert into a pint with Gimme S'more. It starts with a toasted marshmallow ice cream (YUM) and mixes in chocolate cookie swirls, graham cracker swirls, and fudge flakes. Lucky for us, it's already in stores.
