Unicorn and mermaid's pastel colors may have dominated sweets last year, but summer 2018 is all about bolder colors — and flavor. Right on the heels of releasing its Walmart-exclusive Red, White, And Blue ice cream, Sour Patch Kids is unleashing a whole new iteration on the sweet-tart candy: ice pops.

If the thought of sour-tasting dairy isn't your thing, these pops are a welcome change. They have a fruity, sweet base with a sour swirl, and they come in all five classic Sour Patch flavors: orange, lemon, lime, blue raspberry, and fan favorite, Redberry. They're dairy- and gluten-free, and are sold in 12 packs at regular grocery stores. At "club" stores, like Costco and Sam's Club, you can go HAM with a 30-pack. As you can see, early reactions have been, well, enthusiastic:

The flavor should be every bit as intense as the candy, considering it's made by J&J Snack Foods, the same brand behind Oreo Churros and Luigi's Italian Ice.

If three makes a trend, this treat's proof that Sour Patch Kids are staging a freezer-aisle takeover. In addition to the ice pops, which are hitting stores everywhere now, the brand's also rolling out the aforementioned lemon-sorbet-and-vanilla ice cream, and it's already been reimagined as a Dippin' Dots flavor (which, FYI, you can buy by the 30-serving bag on the Ice Cream Of The Future's website).

With all of these options, your biggest struggle will be figuring out which to load your six-person unicorn float with for your first beach trip of the season. Summer can't come fast enough.
