As a fast food chain, Sonic sets itself apart in many ways, from roller-skating employees to baller sides (where else can you get tots AND mozz sticks?!). It's main draw, though, has always been its drinks — the list of slushes, shakes, and teas the fast food chain slings is lengthy to say the least. This summer, some of the most popular are coming to grocery stores, and they're primed for hot weather.
Sonic worked with several different licensing partners to bring popsicle and pudding treats to the freezer section, so you can pick up your favorite icy drink during grocery runs. There are several new products rolling out soon, like Ocean Water and Cherry Limeade Freezer Bars, which look like those beloved skinny freezer pops, and Slushed Pops, which are a little thicker.
The two flavors are also being turned into Jell-o, with ready-to-makes gelatin boxes coming to stores. Along the same lines, two classic shakes, Chocolate and Strawberry, will be available as Instant Puddings.
All of the new products are rolling out to stores like Walmart, Rite Aid, and Walgreens nationwide this spring, so even if you don't live near a drive-in, you may be able to get your hands on some Sonic soon.
