An ice cream truck classic could also become your next favorite Oreo flavor very soon. According to Candy Hunting, Oreo is about to release a Good Humor Strawberry Shortcake-inspired cookie that will be out later this summer.
Just like the dessert bar with strawberry ice cream in the middle and crunchy cake bits on the outside, the new Oreo will feature whipped strawberry cream on the inside and golden cookies with strawberry-flavored pieces on the outside.
A product reviewer leaked a photo of the packaging on Sunday, April 8 to her Instagram account, dont_mess_with_crazy.
Considering the same Instagram account has also posted photos of the Hot Cocoa Oreos and the Dunkin’ Donuts Mocha Oreos that both ended up being released eventually, it’s safe to assume these are the real deal.
This also isn’t the first time Oreo has released a strawberry shortcake flavor. In 2016, Oreo released another limited-edition strawberry shortcake flavor that was exclusive to Walmart and featured a sponge cake-flavored cookie with strawberry cream filling. So, while they two Oreos should be slightly different, we're hoping they're just as delicious as each other.
