Ladies and gents, this is it — the dessert you need to make during the holidays. People expect gingerbread houses. What they don't expect is a giant igloo with blue icicles and perfect marshmallow roofing. Now is the time to wow.

Don't be fooled by all of the intricate details. This one is easier than you'd think to make. You'll need a cake mix, an 8" cake pan and an ovenproof bowl with roughly the same diameter. Divide the cake batter between the pan and the bowl and bake (as you normally would). Pro tip: Depending on the height of your bowl, you may need to trim the edges of the cake baked in the pan.

To decorate, place the inverted bowl cake on top of the cake round, then cover the whole igloo with frosting, preferably vanilla dyed an icy shade of blue. To make the ice blocks, snip big marshmallows in half and lay them in even rows around the entire cake. How did we make that perfect entryway? From a halved cake donut! Covered with halved mini marshmallows of course!
