BUY CARAMEL SAUCE: Ghirardelli Caramel Flavored Sauce, $9, amazon.com.
When you think of fall, what flavors come to mind? For many, it's the endlessly popular pumpkin spice. From poke cakes to Jell-o shots, our love for the spice blend knows no bounds. For others, more robust herbs like rosemary and thyme conjure Autumnal thoughts. For others still, nothing can beat a good 'ol caramel apple.
All these are fine and good, but here at Delish, we like to take fall up a notch. As in, caramel apples are good but boozy caramel apples are GREAT! If you answered that the ultra spiced and sweet Fireball is your favorite fall flavor, A. you freaky and B. these caramel apples were made for you!
As crazy as they look, they're actually super easy to make! The only tool you need is a melon baller. (Trust me, it makes it so much easier.) Simply use it to remove the very top of the apple, where the stem usually is. Then you take the cap off your fireball and place the freshly cut part of the apple on the lip of the bottle. Twist a little bit, as if the apple is a lid you need to screw onto the bottle. Surprisingly, apples are just soft enough to give way to the plastic bottles and create an airtight seal. Voila! Fall on fleek!
