Sometimes, homemade is just better. Mayo, guacamole, rice krispie treats, in my mind these are all things that can be done much better in the comfort of my own kitchen. Now, I can add Nutter Butters to this list! This sandwich cookie recipe is definitely being added to the short list of foods I can make that is an undeniable crowd pleaser.
This recipe is actually crazy easy, and if you're a fan of peanut butter cookies in general, I would highly recommend making this dough your go-to. It's soft and not too sweet, and not greasy which is often my biggest beef with peanut butter cookies. It's pretty much perfect, even without the filling.
The filling recipe though. It is also pretty damn ridiculous. I mean, what recipe that creams butter and peanut butter together could possibly be bad? It melts in your mouth, and well, it's just absurd.
The two together? WAY better than the original. The flavors are pretty similar but the texture is on another level. There is no better dessert to make your peanut butter lovin' friend. Though, be warned, they'll be asking you to make them for the rest of your life.
