Lately, we've been obsessed with compound butters. They're such a great way to get flavor into your dinners β or just jazz up a slice of toast! They're super easy to personalize and whipping the butter first means it's perfectly spreadable for easy serving.
This Tuscan butter is my favorite flavor combination yet. It's got basil, sundried tomatoes (be sure to get the kind in oil!), garlic, and a secret ingredient that makes it extra addictive β Parmesan!
This butter has about a million uses. First of all, it turns a regular old piece of toast into delicious garlic bread with one swipe of a butter knife. This was a real winner in the test kitchen, leading us to toast and consume way more bread than we're proud of.
It also works super well with fish and shrimp, especially when it's melted for a nice dunk or drizzle. Or try tossing it in freshly cooked pasta β simple yet satisfying. Take that Olive Garden!
Other things that are vastly improved by this magic Tuscan butter include steak, chicken, baked potatoes, asparagus, and pretty much anything else that goes well with regular butter. (Read: everything, duh.) Only side effect? It might make you want to book a trip to Italy. π
