Here at Delish, we're obsessed with sour candy. We can't get enough of the stuff! Something about the combination of sweet and sour is seriously addictive, and luckily there are tons of different types of sour candy in the world to satisfy our cravings.

In the world of sour candy, Sour Patch Kids reign supreme. More specifically, Sour Patch Watermelon rule the roost. In fact, our food editor Lauren claims it's the only watermelon flavored candy she'll eat! (I know, crazy.)

We love the candies by themselves, but wondered how we could utilize their flavor further. We've made candy boozy before, and this seemed like another perfect opportunity to give the watermelon candies an adult upgrade.

The process couldn't be easier. Simply let the candy sit in vodka in the refrigerator for a few hours and let the magic happen! The finished product won't be a crazy color like some other candies might be, but it'll definitely have the sweet and sour fruity flavor you know and love!

We made ours into slushies with pink lemonade and Sprite, but the opportunities really are endless. Not a fan of Sprite? Try it with Fresca or just plain seltzer! No pink lemonade? Regular lemonade is fine, or if you can get your hands on some watermelon juice, take 'em to the next level! Or, if you're lazy (no shame) pour yourself a shot! We're not judging.
