You guys. Mermaid is a thing. I never thought I'd say this, but I can't get enough of it. There's something so satisfying about making something so ridiculously colorful and bright! Remember your old Lisa Frank pencil case? It's kind of like that--BUT ICE CREAM. Let me explain…
A few months ago unicorn was all the rage. We did unicorn cheesecake, unicorn ice cream, unicorn dip, even unicorn hot chocolate! We were all heart-eye-emoji for unicorns. But ice cream melts, and people change. The unicorn trend went from all the rage to yesterday's news, and all we were left with were some seriously hilarious fails. We thought we'd never love [food coloring] again.
Oh, were we wrong! Not but a couple months later, we were totally enamored by a new food trend: mermaid. So mysterious, so flashy, so intriguing; much like the mythical creatures the trend was named after. We had to give it a try ourselves.
First, we tried mermaid lemonade. You guessed it--we were obsessed. We loved the blue-green color scheme and knew we wanted to try something with even more color. With summer approaching ice cream seemed like the perfect candidate for the mermaid treatment. This one is no churn so it's as easy as whipping cream. So c'mon, make mermaid ice cream part of your world!
