A few months ago, we weren't even particularly into stuffing our desserts. (I know, I know sounds kinda weird.) But then we decided to stuff peanut butter cookies with peanut butter and brownies with Reese's and our world changed — and yours did too apparently. Now we've decided to stuff dark chocolate cookies with Nutella because the world needs more of the addictive hazelnut spread. Period, end of story.
These cookies are soft and chewy with a big ol' gooey layer of Nutella inside. HOT. To keep the Nutella from seeping out of the cookies while they bake, you freeze tablespoon-size balls of it until they're totally firm (about an hour). Wrap the cookie dough around the frozen Nutella and then bake. (If you really want to make sure these don't explode on you, freeze the cookies again for about 20 minutes before baking.) These only bake for about 10 minutes and they spread a lot; get ready for some big cookies on your hands.
Once they're out of the oven, they need to cool for quite a bit — there's warm Nutella in there! But the result is so worth it; these are fudgin' unbelievable!
