Around Easter, we discovered the horribly named Pinterest obsession that is Unicorn Poop. You can imagine that our curiosity piqued. We gave in to the sherbet-colored trend with Unicorn Bark and marveled over how the colors swirled to create such a beautiful mess.
Next up: Unicorn Ice Cream. I was reminded of how much I love unicorn ANYTHING when I came across Bread Booze and Bacon's ice cream and DIED. It was time we translated the bark to ice cream, too. I'm not lying when I say this is one of my most favorite no-churn ice creams that I've ever made—and I've made A LOT. But the process is so fun!
All you do is whisk heavy cream and add sweetened condensed milk and vanilla and then divide that mixture into five different bowls and add a different food coloring to each bowl. Then you mix them up and start dolloping the different colors in a loaf pan until it's full with colors. Take a knife, swirl it through the mixture a few times—but not too many or else the colors will get murky! Go crazy with sprinkles and freeze until firm.
Then prepare to freak out over how colorful the cones are! I know my pure, anti-food coloring friends are shaking their heads at me, but admit it: This is actually ice cream worth screaming over.
