If you know me at all, you know that I have a peanut butter problem. No jar of Skippy is safe when I'm around. Not shockingly, I never grew out of PB and J's. And I bet you haven't either. Peanut butter and jelly make the ultimate duo. It's the combination all others are compared to (and will never live up to): spaghetti and meatballs go together like peanut butter and jelly—not the other way around.

This pie takes the humble childhood lunch to new heights. Fresh, juicy blueberries transform into a jammy filling that's practically begs for streusel…peanutty-oat streusel to be exact. Spread the news! Peanut butter is the key to the world's most amazing crumble topping. I swear it's not just me, the crazy peanut butter girl, who thinks so. I had to swat the hands of the whole Delish team from eating it all before going onto the pie.

I'll admit that making this pie is not quite as quick as fixing yourself a PB and J, but it's also not quite as ordinary. It's an extraordinary dessert well worth the extra time and effort. And rest assured, the effort is little. Tossing blueberries with sugar and cornstarch is as hard as it's going to get when making the filling. The crumble topping requires no more than stirring together melted butter, brown sugar, oats, flour and peanut butter. Together, they bring back the nostalgia of the playground but also a whole new sense of fun that only dessert can bring.
