At Delish, we're always brainstorming exciting new ways to switch things up with boneless, skinless chicken breasts. We love 'em, but sometimes things can get a little ... well, bland. One of our go-to tricks for giving poultry an effortless flavor boost is with alcohol. Namely, white wine. (Psst, it's the secret ingredient in our absurdly delicious Lemon Garlic Chicken)! That zingy flavor after the alcohol cooks out is just so good. It got us thinking, and with our liquor cabinet as inspo, we saw the light: tequila!
Our love for tequila knows no bounds. We even found out that drinking it can help you lose weight (no, seriously). For this savory preparation, we paired it with some of our favorite players like lime, garlic, jalapeños–enough for a subtle kick, not 5-alarm spicy–and some honey to mellow it out. Plus, it couldn't be easier. Make the marinade, let it sit in your fridge for 30 minutes, then grill and devour. Serve it over rice or, if you've got tortillas lying around, try it in our killer Tequila-Lime Chicken Tacos.
Our biggest takeaway? Tequila is for way more than margs.
