At Delish, we're totally guilty of snacking on raw cookie dough. Sure, we try to hold back when there are raw eggs involved—and flour, after the recent General Mills recall—but TBH it's still pretty difficult. There's something about the classic combo of butter, brown sugar, vanilla, flour, salt and chocolate that brings out the cookie monster in all of us.
That's why we can't stop dreaming up cookie dough-centric recipes like Cookie Dough Cheesecake, Cookie Dough Dip and Cookie Dough-Stuffed French Toast. This time around, though, we started thinking bigger picture. As in, how can we top every dessert with straight-up cookie dough? Presenting, this heavenly cookie dough frosting.
It's so simple to make (and even easier to eat), though you should make sure the flour you use wasn't affected by the recall before whipping up a batch.
Use this stuff to frost your favorite cake or cupcakes...or just eat it straight out of the bowl. I'm convinced it might even be delicious on a sneaker ... it's just that good.
Because cookie dough makes everything better. Fo real, dough.
