Admit it: Chili cheese dip is one of the first party foods you ever learned how to make. Now, though, it's time to take things to the next level. A level that makes so much sense it seems insane you haven't done it already.
We're talking surrounding that dip with another party fave—pigs in a blanket—and baking it in the oven, to the raucous cheers and shrieks of everyone you know*.
Behold, Chili Cheese Dog Dip:
Consider this the next iteration of our wreath dip. Swapping out traditional rolls for pigs in a blanket makes so much sense: You already cover hot dogs in chili and cheese, so using the pigs as a dipping vessel will bring you back to every time you've ever sat in a stadium, chili spilling onto your jersey, as you simultaneously devour that $12 frank and play twelfth man.
Keep an eye on this dip as it bakes—after about 10 minutes, you may need to rotate the pan if one side of the pigs in a blanket ring is browning faster than the other. Brushing the pastry with oil also helps keep the crescent rolls evenly golden brown.
One thing worth noting: The pigs in a blanket will be a little doughier than if you made them the conventional way, but it's still undeniably delicious. We made an extra batch, just so we could have additional dippers on hand (which you will need, because you can't un-see your friend eating chili cheese dip with his bare hands. You can't.).

*Cheering and shrieking may vary among individuals. But if your friends have any lowbrow tastes whatsoever, they'll understand just how awesome this is. Especially after a drink. Or three.
