Sometimes, you don't have time to make a birthday cake. Or maybe it's just a random Tuesday, and baking an entire cake just for yourself seems a little excessive (not that we'd ever think that). But still, you want that cake batter flavor.

We've got you. This Birthday Cake Fudge fills that void perfectly. It tastes just like cake batter and frosting, making it ideal for those people who'd rather lick the bowl—or swipe the icing off the top of the cupcake—than eat the actual cake.

Plus, it really, truly couldn't be easier to make. You don't need any culinary-school-grade baking skills or even an oven. Just a microwave, an 8-inch by 8-inch pan, some white chocolate chips, a can of sweetened condensed milk, and Funfetti cake mix.

The extra sprinkles on top are optional, but highly encouraged. (Does it even count as cake batter fudge if there aren't sprinkles involved?!)

We mixed a 1/2 cup of box cake mix in with the sweetened condensed milk, then added white chocolate chips and microwaved the two for a minute, stirring and microwaving until everything combined and formed a batter. If you're concerned about it being too sweet, you could always start with 1/4 cup, taste the mixture, and swirl in more cake mix by the tablespoonful until you have the flavor you want.

You'll have to give it a couple hours in the fridge to set, but trust us, it's worth the wait. So worth the wait.
