I always enjoy sitting down to watch football because it means one thing: Food. Sure, I'll *kind of* watch the play-by-play if it entails simultaneously reaching my hand into the chip bowl, or act like I care about how many rushing yards someone threw if I can scrutinize the wings and dip with equal enthusiasm. When I find like-minded football fans, I know I'm in good company.
When YouTube cooking stars The Brothers Green stopped by the Delish test kitchen to share some of their favorite Game Day eats with us, I instantly knew I was in good company. Dudes who know that the real stars of the football game are most def not the players—they're the snacks.
In the first video of a Kitchen Takeover series, the quirky Brooklynite bros take pigs in a blanket where they have never gone before. Rather than wrap a hot dog or cocktail weiner in a Crescent Roll, they opted for pizza dough. Now, this might not sound amazing, but it so is: the pizza dough is pretzeled. Tossed into a solution of water and baking soda and then sprinkled with flaky salt after they come out of the oven, these pigs in a blanket will rock your world. Serve with honey mustard for the real touchdown.
