Ingredients
- 4 slices bacon
- 6 tart apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
- juice of half lemon
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
- Biscuits, for serving
Directions
- Step 1In a large skillet over medium heat, cook bacon until crispy. Drain bacon slices on paper towels but reserve fat in the pan.
- Step 2Add apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg to the skillet and toss to coat in bacon fat. Cook, stirring often, until the apples are tender and caramelized, 5 to 10 minuets. Squeeze lemon juice over apples and season to taste with salt.
- Step 3Serve warm.
