Sour Patch grapes, or Glitter Grapes, have been a blogger favorite for years, and it's long time you tried the treat firsthand. Fair warning: You may never go back to the actual candy again. Jell-O packets get a touch of citric acid added to them to boost that necessary tart flavor, before lemon-coated grapes are tossed in the Jell-O mixtures. The result is a sweet-tart bite that just might rival your favorite candy. So grab your favorite Jell-O flavors, and get ready for an upgraded sweet snack for any movie night or homemade food gift.
Tip: Wondering about the citric acid? These grapes will still taste fine without it, but the addition is what really gives that sour flavor that we're going for. Leave it out, and the flavor won't pack nearly as much of a punch.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb.
green grapes
- 1/2
lemon
- 2 tsp.
citric acid (divided into 1/2 tsp.)
- 1
package cherry Jell-o (3 oz.)
- 1
package orange Jell-o (3 oz.)
- 1
package lemon Jell-o (3 oz.)
- 1
package lime Jell-o (3 oz.)
Directions
- Step 1 Empty each Jell-O packet into its own gallon-size resealable plastic bag. Add 1/2 tsp citric acid to each bag.
- Step 2Remove grapes from stems and rinse in a colander, shaking the colander to remove any excess water (grapes should be damp, not dripping wet). Squeeze lemon juice over grapes and toss with your hands so that all the grapes get lightly coated.
- Step 3Place a handful of grapes in each bag of Jell-O mix, seal, then shake to coat.
- Step 4Remove from resealable bags and serve.
