Ingredients
- 2
large portobello burgers, stems and gills removed
- 1/4 cup
olive oil
- 1 tsp.
garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp.
ground mustard powder
- 1 Tbsp.
Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup
shredded sharp Cheddar
- 2
brioche buns, toasted
honey mustard, for serving
Tomato slices, for serving
Lettuce, for serving
Directions
- Step 1Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- Step 2In a medium bowl, whisk together olive oil, garlic powder, mustard powder and worcestershire. Dip the mushroom caps in the mixture and place the mushrooms face-down on a baking sheet. Sprinkle with salt and pepper, to taste. Bake for 10 minutes, until beginning to soften.
- Step 3Flip over mushrooms and fill each cap with shredded cheddar.
- Step 4Return to oven and bake for another 10 minutes, or until cheese is melted and the mushroom is tender.
- Step 5Spread honey mustard on the bottom buns and place mushrooms on top. Top with tomato slices and lettuce.
