Who doesn't love a banana split? It's nostalgic, messy (in the best way), and most importantly, downright delicious. There's something for everyone: ice cream, bananas, hot fudge, sprinkles, cherries—I know, I had you at ice cream. IMO, even banana haters love banana splits. The flavor and texture seem to mellow out and, dare I say, enhance the ice cream and toppings. Plus, it's fruit. So it makes the whole thing healthy, right?

The only problem with banana splits? It's basically impossible to make one for a crowd. Until now! Our Banana Split Ice Cream Cake is the perfect party-friendly solution. You get everything you want/need in one slice.

We made sure to include all of the classic banana split components, but in true Delish fashion, upgraded them a bit (because we can)! Each layer is separated by cookies and thinly sliced, ripe bananas. Oreos are paired with chocolate ice cream, and the strawberry ice cream layer gets Nilla wafers.

Now let's get to the most important part: the toppings. Once your ice cream cake is good and frozen—we recommend overnight—you get to go all out. Flip it onto a flat surface, then decorate with hot fudge (the good stuff), rainbow sprinkles (how could you not), whipped cream, and of course, maraschino cherries on top.

The most satisfying thing of all, besides eating it of course, is slicing into the finished product and seeing all of the glorious layers. Give yourself a pat on the back. And then a slice or two.
