Ingredients
For the cupcakes
- 1
box devil's food cake mix
- 1/2 cup
vegetable oil
- 3
large eggs
- 3/4 cup
Baileys
For the frosting
- 1 cup
butter, softened
- 5 cups
powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup
Baileys
- 1/4 cup
cocoa powder
- 1 tsp.
pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp.
salt
Chocolate sauce, for garnish
Shaved chocolate, for garnish
Directions
- Step 1Make cupcakes: Preheat oven to 350° and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners. In a large bowl, combine cake mix with vegetable oil, eggs, and 3/4 cup Baileys. Bake according to package directions and let cool completely before frosting.
- Step 2Meanwhile, make frosting: In a large bowl, combine butter, half of the powdered sugar, 1/2 cup Baileys, cocoa powder, vanilla, and salt. Using a hand mixer, beat until smooth. Add the rest of the powdered sugar and beat until fluffy.
- Step 3 Pipe onto cupcakes and garnish with chocolate sauce and shaved chocolate. Serve.
