Banana Pancake Dippers

For best results, we recommend using a thick pancake batter. Our homemade recipe below is perfect for coating the bananas and comes out super fluffy. If you're using something like Bisquik, you may want to add a little more mix than the box calls for to the batter.
Have an air fryer? This recipe works well in it, though each batch takes about 15 minutes.

Ingredients
Banana pancake dippers
- 3
bananas, halved and sliced lengthwise
- 1 Tbsp.
butter
- 1
batch prepared pancake batter (see below)
Melted chocolate, for dipping
Pancake batter
- 1 1/2 cups
all-purpose flour
- 1 Tbsp.
baking powder
- 2 Tbsp.
packed brown sugar
- 1 tsp.
kosher salt
- 3/4 cup
whole milk
- 1/2 cup
sour cream
- 2
large eggs
- 1 tsp.
pure vanilla extract
Directions
FOR THE PANCAKE BATTER:
- Step 1In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, brown sugar, and salt.
- Step 2In a separate bowl, whisk together milk and sour cream, then add eggs one at a time. Stir in vanilla.
- Step 3Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and stir with a wooden spoon until just combined.
FOR STOVETOP
- Step 1In a large bowl, dip bananas in pancake batter.
- Step 2In a large skillet over medium-low heat, melt butter. Add dipped bananas and let cook until golden, 2 minutes per side.
- Step 3Serve with melted chocolate for dipping.
FOR AIR FRYER
- Step 1Line basket of air fryer with parchment paper and grease with cooking spray.
- Step 2Working in batches, dip bananas in pancake batter then place in a single layer on parchment paper.
- Step 3Cook at 350° until golden, about 16 minutes
- Step 4Serve with melted chocolate for dipping.
