Shrimp pasta is what dreams are made of, but this one—tossed in a Parmesan white wine sauce—really takes the cake. Buttery, garlicky shrimp are tossed in the simple but satisfying sauce with angel hair pasta before being topped with fresh herbs for a summer dinner ready in under 30 minutes. It’s an easy recipe that’s just as perfect for busy weeknights as it is for last-minute entertaining.
I recommend buying peeled, deveined, shrimp with their tails removed to make this dinner as easy as possible. I like a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes, but if you like more heat, feel free to add a bit more—this dinner is totally versatile depending on what you’re feeling!

extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 lb.
shrimp, peeled, deveined, tails removed
Freshly ground black pepper
- 4
garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 3/4 cup
dry white wine
Juice of 1/2 lemon
Pinch of crushed red pepper flakes
- 3/4 cup
finely grated Parmesan, plus more for serving
- 1 Tbsp.
finely chopped fresh parsley
Directions
- Step 1In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook pasta, stirring occasionally, until al dente according to package directions. Drain.

- Step 3In same skillet over medium heat, melt remaining 3 Tbsp. butter. Add garlic and cook, stirring, until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add wine, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes and bring to a simmer. Cook, stirring, until liquid is slightly reduced, about 2 minutes. Add Parmesan and cook, stirring, until melted, about 2 minutes more.
- Step 4Return shrimp to skillet along with parsley and cook, stirring, until warmed through, about 1 minute. Add pasta and toss to combine.
- Step 5Divide pasta among bowls. Top with Parmesan.
