Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 32 oz. marinara
- 1 lb. fresh mozzarella
- 2 Tbsp. chiffonade basil, plus more for serving.
- pinch red pepper flakes
- kosher salt
- Freshly ground black pepper
- 1 crusty baguette, sliced and toasted
Directions
- Step 1Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.
- Step 2Heat olive oil in a medium ovenproof skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until until golden, about 3-5 minutes. Add the marinara sauce. Stir in basil, red pepper flakes, salt and pepper. Bring to simmer then remove from heat.
- Step 3Add the mozzarella to the center of the dish and transfer to the oven. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the cheese is melty. Sprinkle pepper over the mozzarella and garnish the skillet with more basil. Serve warm with toasted bread.
