Mimosas are a brunch staple. The proud symbol of a leisurely weekend morning turned afternoon, there are endless ways to enjoy the classic mimosa. When the weather gets cold, we like to add a little holiday flair to our favorite cocktail. While the classic combo of 4 parts champagne and 1 part fresh orange juice can certainly hold its own, this recipe adds in a fun holiday twist by swapping the orange juice with fresh cranberries, cranberry juice, rosemary and a hint of lime. Very similar to the Poinsettia cocktail (which often adds orange liqueur or vodka), this version requires fewer ingredients while still being incredibly delish.
We love this classic combo of holiday flavors, but feel free to get even more creative! This recipe would also work great with thyme and lemon subbed in for the rosemary and lime, or with pomegranate juice swapped in for the cranberry. While you might hear mimosas and think of only brunch, these festive versions also work perfectly as an after-dinner drink. Serve these cranberry cocktails alongside your Thanksgiving dinner to take things up a notch, or set them out at your holiday celebration to celebrate in the very best way.
