Ingredients
Cooking spray, for pan
- 1
box white cake mix
- 1 cup
sour cream
- 1/2 cup
(1 stick) butter, melted
- 1/4 cup
whole milk
- 1 tsp.
pure vanilla extract
- 2
large eggs
- 1/2 cup
strawberries, chopped
- 4 oz.
cream cheese, softened
- 3 cups
powdered sugar
Rainbow sprinkles
Directions
- Step 1Make cake: Preheat oven to 325°F and generously coat Bundt pan with cooking spray.
- Step 2In a large bowl, add cake mix, sour cream, milk, butter, vanilla, and eggs, and whisk to combine. Pour batter into the Bundt pan and smooth top with a spatula.
- Step 3Bake cake until golden, 43 to 45 minutes. Let cool for 15 minutes in pan, then use a butter knife to run along the inside of the pan to release the cake from the pan. Then have a grown-up help you carefully invert the cake onto a cooling rack.
- Step 4Make frosting: Add strawberries to a blender and puree until smooth. In a large bowl, whisk together pureed strawberries, cream cheese, and powdered sugar until smooth.
- Step 5Pour frosting over cake and top with sprinkles.
