Ingredients
- 1 box pound cake mix
- Cooking spray
- Variety of Easter candies
- 1 container vanilla frosting
- Sugar pearls (for decoration)
Directions
- Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Prepare pound cake batter according to package instructions.
- Step 2Coat a 2-cup oven-safe measuring cup with cooking spray and pour in cake batter. Bake until golden and a toothpick comes out clean, 25 to 30 minutes. Let cool slightly.
- Step 3Repeat step 2 for second cake.
- Step 4Cut tops of each cake, then carve out the middle, leaving a 1/2-inch border so the cake still stands when hollowed out. (Be careful not to carve too deep.)
- Step 5Fill bottom cake with Easter candies (such as foil-wrapped chocolates). Frost ring around the top of the bottom cake.
- Step 6Place top cake on top of bottom cake and frost completely. Decorate egg with sugar pearls.
