Give your guests some gussied up nuts to munch on while they wait for Christmas dinner.

Ingredients
- 1 lb. mixed nuts
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. granulated sugar
- 2 tsp. paprika
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp. kosher salt
- 1 large egg white
Directions
- Step 1Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Spread the nuts on a rimmed baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes. Reduce temperature to 325 degrees F.
- Step 2Meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine the brown and granulated sguars, paprika, cinnamon, cayenne, and salt. In a large bowl, beat the egg white and 1 tablespoon water until frothy. Add the nuts to the egg white mixture and toss to coat, then toss with the sugar and spice mixture.
- Step 3Line the baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread the nuts in a single layer on the baking sheet and bake, stirring occasionally, until the coating is set, 15 to 20 minutes.
- Step 4Let the nuts cool on the baking sheet. Separate them with a fork as they cool.
