Easy Carbonara

Our managing editor Jane was craving a carbonara today—and we like to give people what they ask for. Lucky for you, this is a quick and easy recipe that's perfect for dinner tonight, too.

Ingredients
- 1 lb. spaghetti
- 2 cups frozen peas
- 6 slice bacon
- 4 large eggs
- 1/2 cup finely grated Pecorino Romano cheese
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. Pepper
Directions
- Step 1Cook spaghetti 2 minutes less than label directs.
- Step 2Add peas; cook 2 minutes. Reserve 1/2 cup cooking water; drain pasta and peas.
- Step 3Meanwhile, in 12-inch skillet, cook bacon on medium 8 minutes, or until browned; reserve 2 tablespoons fat.
- Step 4In large bowl, beat eggs, Pecorino Romano cheese, reserved fat, reserved water, salt, and pepper. Toss in pasta mixture and bacon.
