Ingredients
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- cup cocoa powder
- 2 cups whole milk
- 2 cups half-and-half
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
Directions
- Step 1In a medium pot, stir the sugars, cornstarch, and cocoa powder until well combined.
- Step 2Slowly whisk the milk and half-and-half into the mixture, then bring to a boil, whisking vigorously until thick.
- Step 3Whisk in the chocolate chips and butter until fully incorporated and smooth. Whisk in the vanilla. Pour into a heatproof bowl. Cover the surface with plastic wrap and refrigerate 4 to 8 hours.
