They're perfect for St. Patrick's Day (& beyond!)

ATTENTION: we're here to set the record straight—Baileys is NOT just for St. Patrick's Day. Speaking of, it's also not just for mixing drinks either! Here at Delish, we'll get our Baileys any which way we can, especially dessert. And we've certainly got more than a few ideas (in the form of Baileys cheesecake, mudslide no-churn ice cream, Irish coffee pops, and skillet brownie pudding) to help you. The creamy Irish liqueur adds a totally unique flavor, which is why we have maybe too many ideas on how to add it to your favorite desserts. Turns out, we love to have our booze and eat it too; drinks and dessert in the form of these Baileys-spiked desserts might be just be the best deal of the century, as far as we're concerned!
So what is Baileys, exactly? Apparently, the story of Irish cream dates back to the 1970s, when extra alcohol from Irish distilleries and extra cream from Irish dairy farms were combined with flavors like cocoa and vanilla to create the drink we know today. Though it was created in response to a surplus, now it’s a liquor store, neighborhood bar, and home bar cart staple. Baileys is the tried-and-true option, though there are other Irish cream liqueurs if you want to branch out (or you can make your own homemade Irish cream liqueur!).
You might be most familiar with the magical combo that is Baileys + chocolate. It's a mainstay for a reason as they're just always better together. Our Baileys cupcakes and Baileys truffles are both party starters in more ways than one, but these boozy sweets aren't just for the nighttime, either! Let's just say, no one will be mad to wake up to a slice of Baileys chocolate coffee cake the next day. 😉
