It doesn’t get more festive and fun than these stacked Pillsbury holiday cookies. Using store-bought sugar cookie dough is the perfect baking hack when you’re short on time but full of inspiration. Thanks to Pillsbury’s adorable holiday-shaped cookie dough, all you need to bring out the festive vibes is this dough and some colorful sprinkles. So pull out your ugly Christmas sweater, put on your favorite holiday movie, and get ready to create the ultimate cookie plate for Santa.

(1-lb.) log Pillsbury sugar cookie dough
Various nonpareils in holiday colors, for decorating

(9-oz.) box Pillsbury Shape cookie dough
Directions
- Step 1Preheat oven to 350°. Unwrap log of sugar cookie dough. Slice log into 16 (1/2"-thick) pieces (27 g. each). Gently roll slices into balls. Using the palm of your hand, flatten to disks about 1/2" thick.
- Step 2Divide nonpareils by color among plates; you’ll need about 1/4 c. (2 oz.) of each color. (We used red, green, and white.) Roll dough in nonpareils until coated. Transfer to 2 parchment-lined baking sheets.
- Step 3Bake cookies until they begin to spread, about 2 minutes.
- Step 4Meanwhile, open package of Pillsbury Shape cookie dough and break apart. Stack one Pillsbury Shape on top each sugar cookie.
- Step 5Continue to bake until edges of cookies are golden brown, 10 to 12 minutes more.
- Step 6Make Ahead: Cookies can be made 2 days ahead. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
