If you're hosting a small gathering or simply craving the comforting flavors of Thanksgiving any time of year, then this sheet-pan dinner is a solid choice. It’s a feast that’s as cozy as it is convenient, bringing together the classics with a few flavorful twists. The beauty of this meal lies in its simplicity—everything roasts together on a single pan, making cleanup a breeze.
Using a bone-in split turkey breast helps ensure juicy, flavorful meat with rich, golden skin, slathered with butter and seasoned with poultry seasoning. This nod to tradition is enhanced with a touch of smoky paprika and garlic to amp up the flavors. For the stuffing, I went the classic route, using store-bought seasoned cubes for a bit of nostalgia, along with onions, celery, and soy sauce to boost the savory notes, and cranberries for a hint of sweetness. The stuffing offers the best of both worlds, with crispy edges and an irresistibly savory center soaked in turkey drippings.
The sweet potatoes strike a perfect balance, spiced with warm and aromatic garam masala—a perfect pairing with the sweet yet earthy tuber. A splash of orange juice adds a tart-sweet touch, while pecans provide a satisfying crunch. If garam masala isn’t your thing, a dash of pumpkin pie spice works beautifully.
The green beans, a nod to the iconic casserole, are streamlined for the sheet pan, tossed with mushrooms, Parmesan, and thyme-infused butter, and finished with crispy fried onions for that quintessential touch.
If the idea of making a whole Thanksgiving dinner on a sheet pan in one day feels daunting, here’s a tip—prep some components ahead of time. Most, if not all, of the ingredient chopping, grating, toasting, etc., can be done 2 to 3 days in advance. The stuffing can be made a day ahead, just be sure to cool it completely before refrigerating. Even the turkey can be buttered and seasoned the day before, leaving you with just the assembly and roasting on the day of.
You could easily double this recipe by using 2 sheet pans. Serve the turkey with store-bought or homemade gravy and cranberry sauce to round out the meal. And for dessert, try one of these easy Thanksgiving cake or Thanksgiving pie recipes.
