The experience of dipping and dunking sweet treats in a steaming cup of hot chocolate on a cold winter day is almost as good as the drink itself. But what to do when the hot cocoa craving hits when it’s not so cold out (it happens!)? What if you want hot chocolate but in a more shareable form? Enter this sweet, creamy hot cocoa party dip. It’s topped with swoops of whipped cream, a shower of mini marshmallows, and sprinkles, if you're feeling fancy.
To make this hot cocoa magic, we whip cream cheese, Marshmallow Fluff, and hot cocoa mix together. Extra unsweetened cocoa powder gives the dip a deeper chocolatey flavor and a generous splash of heavy cream—okay 1/2 c.—creates a truly velvety texture. Here’s how you can make the dip your own.
Peppermint:
Add just 1/8 tsp. peppermint extract to the dip to not overpower it with too much minty flavor, then top with crushed candy canes for maximum Christmas vibes.
Coconut:
Here at Delish, we love a caramel, chocolate, and coconut moment. To give the dip a Girl Scout samoa glow-up, add 1/8 tsp. coconut extract to the dip, then top with toasted coconut flakes and a generous drizzle of caramel sauce.
Raspberry:
Stir 2 tsp. framboise or other raspberry liqueur into the dip for a touch of sweetness. The final touch is decorating with fresh raspberries, whipped cream, and shaved chocolate.
