Step aside, margaritas—daiquiris are my new go-to refreshing cocktail. There are countless variations of this rum cocktail, but when I'm craving a classic (and extra-refreshing) version, I turn to this frozen strawberry recipe. Frosty, vibrant, and the perfect amount of sweet, this frozen daiquiri’s blend of juicy, red strawberries brightened with zesty lime is too refreshing to deny. Only requiring four ingredients, it’s my ideal summer cocktail to welcome the warm days ahead. Read on for everything you need to know to make the best-ever glass.
• Rum: You’re going to want to opt for a light rum in a daiquiri. White or clear rums have a mild and light body, making them perfect for incorporating into mixed drinks. Use your fave brand, or consult our tried-and-tested favorite rum brands to find your new go-to choice.
• Fresh Strawberries: Fresh strawberries add juiciness, sweetness, a syrupy quality, and keep the drink from being too thick.
• Frozen Strawberries: Using frozen strawberries gives body to the drink without watering down the flavor like ice would. If you use all frozen strawberries, you'll likely need a spoon to enjoy the treat—which TBH, might be exactly what you're in the mood for some days.
• Lime Juice: That squeeze of lime? Essential. The fresh citrus kick will make the strawberries shine even brighter in flavor.
It couldn’t be easier: add your ingredients to a blender, and blend until smooth. If your drink isn't thick enough, add a few more frozen strawberries to thicken it up.
Once your daiquiri is your desired consistency, pour into a glass and serve! Don't forget the extra lime and strawberry for garnish.

The classic daiquiri is served up, and combines just rum, lime juice, and a sugar component. But, the frozen varieties can get a little more creative. Our recipe uses rum, lime juice, strawberries (fresh AND frozen), and a bit of sugar.
This drink is a great cocktail to make ahead of time. After blending, store in a freezer-safe container in the freezer. When ready to enjoy, simply leave them out until they reach a drinkable consistency.
