Deck the halls! It's time to get your Christmas wreaths out. And we're not talking the kind you hang on the door. No, it's time to make a batch of cornflake wreaths! Perfect for lovers of Rice Krispies treats, these Christmas cookies are as simple as they are delicious. Plus, they’re a no-fuss, all-fun way to get the kids involved in the kitchen during the holidays.
To make them, all you need is marshmallows, cornflakes, and green food coloring. Although this recipe uses small cinnamon candies for decoration, you can opt for whatever festive candies or sprinkles you have on hand. Set them out on a platter with other fun holiday treats like Santa cookies and a gingerbread house.
A few things to remember when making Christmas wreaths: First, let the marshmallow and cornflakes mixture cool slightly so it’s easier to handle and shape. And don’t forget to grease your hands really well or you might end up dealing with a sticky Grinch-green mess! (Though if that's your vibe, whip up a batch of Grinch cookies and Grinch punch.)
Store the cornflake wreaths for up to 3 days in an airtight container or freeze for up to 1 month.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup
(1 stick) salted butter
- 4 cups
mini marshmallows
Cooking spray
- 2 tsp.
pumpkin spice
- 1 tsp.
green food coloring
- 8 cups
cornflakes
- 1/4 cup
small red cinnamon candies
Directions
- Step 1Line a large baking sheet with parchment. In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Add marshmallows and cook, stirring often, until melted. Remove from heat. Spray a silicone spatula with cooking spray. Using spatula, stir in pumpkin spice and food coloring until combined.
- Step 2Add cornflakes and mix well until color is distributed and each flake is well coated. Let sit until cool enough to handle but still malleable, about 30 seconds.
- Step 3Spray your hands with cooking spray. Roll 3-tablespoon (1.5-ounce) portions of cornflakes mixture into ropes (you should have 16). Bring ends of rope together to form a circle roughly 3" in diameter. Place on prepared sheet and repeat with remaining cornflakes mixture.
- Step 4Arrange wreaths on a platter. Top with candies.
