Cobblers are a consistent favorite summer dessert here at Delish, and it's no secret why. Warm and bubbly, the buttery biscuit-like topping paired with juicy, jammy fruit is practically impossible to beat. To celebrate the season, we paired sweet, juicy peaches and blueberries in this fruit cobbler for the ultimate summer combo. Make it for the cherry on top of your cookout, or bring to the summer potluck to be the most-loved person at the party. Here’s everything you need to know to make this crowd-pleasing dessert:
To peel or not to peel.
When it comes to the peaches, you can peel them or leave the skin on depending on preference—it’s completely up to you. We like leaving them on for texture, and to preserve some of the peach’s natural juices that can get lost when peeling. But, if you’re not a fan, feel free to peel them!
Can I use frozen fruit?
Absolutely! If you don’t have fresh, seasonal peaches or blueberries then frozen is your next best option. Just let the fruit thaw out first beforehand, then you’ll be ready to go.
Serving ideas.
Is cobbler even complete without a generous amount of vanilla ice cream loaded on top? We think not. Add a scoop of homemade vanilla ice cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon to really take this dessert over the top, or leave it plain if you’d prefer a less decadent treat.
