Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp.
extra-virgin olive oil
- 2
large yellow onions, chopped
- 1 1/2 cups
sour cream
- 1/2 cup
mayonnaise
- 1/3 cup
sliced chives
- 1 1/4 tsp.
kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp.
onion powder
- 1/4 tsp.
garlic powder
Directions
- Step 1In a large skillet over medium heat, heat oil. Add onions and cook, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes, then reduce heat to medium-low. Continue cooking until onions are deeply golden, about another 20 minutes. Let cool slightly.
- Step 2In a medium bowl, combine onions, sour cream, mayonnaise, and chives. Add salt, onion powder, and garlic powder. Taste and add more salt as needed.
- Step 3Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
