Maple-Prosciutto Baked Brie

Baked brie is an essential holiday appetizer. Not only is it really easy to execute at home, but if you're looking for an ooey-gooey, melty cheese moment that will have your guests oohing and aahing, look no further. This recipe takes the concept up a notch because the Supreme Brie is wrapped in prosciutto and the whole thing is topped with a smoky maple glaze. Just be warned that when you take it out of the oven, you might get an overwhelming urge to make an extra one just for the cook!

Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp.
maple syrup, divided
- 1 Tbsp.
dark brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp.
sweet paprika
Kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper
- 2 oz.
very thinly sliced prosciutto
- 1
(7-oz.) oval Supreme Brie
Crackers, for serving
Apple slices, for serving
Directions
- Step 1Preheat oven to 375°. Line a small rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil.
- Step 2In a small bowl, stir together 1 tbsp. of the maple syrup, the brown sugar, and paprika. Season with a pinch of salt and a few grinds of pepper.
- Step 3Lay the prosciutto slices out on a work surface on a diagonal, so each slice overlaps about halfway. Brush the prosciutto with half of the maple syrup mixture. Arrange the brie in the center of the slices and brush the top and sides of the brie with the remaining maple syrup mixture. Wrap the sides of the prosciutto up and over the brie so the top is entirely covered.
- Step 4Flip the brie and place it prosciutto seam side down on the prepared baking sheet. Bake until the cheese is melted through to the center, 12 to 15 minutes.
- Step 5Using a spatula, transfer the brie to a serving plate and drizzle with the remaining 1 tablespoon maple syrup. Serve with crackers and sliced apples.
