Directions
- Step 1Make Honey-Sriracha Sauce: Mix honey and Sriracha in a small saucepan. Cook over low heat for 5 minutes, until honey is thin. Keep warm until ready to serve.
- Step 2Make Broccoli Slaw: In a large bowl, combine shredded carrot, cabbage, and broccoli stems. Add honey mustard dressing and toss to coat.
- Step 3Make Chicken Patties: Heat chicken patties according to package instructions. Keep warm until ready to serve.
- Step 4Mix Dry Ingredients: Preheat waffle iron. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, cardamom, and salt.
- Step 5Cook Waffles: In a small bowl, let the melted butter cool for a minute or two before whisking in the eggs, milk, and vanilla. (Otherwise, the hot butter can start to cook the eggs!) Stir into flour mixture until blended. Cook waffles according to waffle iron directions.
- Step 6Assemble the Meal: Pour warm Honey-Sriracha Sauce over warm chicken patties. Place waffles on individual plates. Top each waffle with one chicken patty and broccoli slaw. Fold the waffle in half to make a sandwich.
