When it comes to beating the summer heat, a cool drink is just about as good as it gets. A child’s sidewalk lemonade stand has served as an oasis to countless people on hot summer days, which got me thinking, could you make lemonade even more refreshing? It turns out—yes, yes you can. Blending your favorite lemonade with some sweetened condensed milk—sort of like Brazilian lemonade—turns it into a creamy frozen drink that's sweet, tart, and as refreshing as can be. I'll be skipping milkshakes for these this summer!
While you can easily make lemonade from scratch, this recipe can be made even easier with your favorite store-bought brand, though our from-scratch recipe will give you better control over the tartness and sweetness. Whatever you choose, this refreshing drink is as adjustable as it is drinkable.
