Melty Turkey Juicy Lucy

The fun of a Juicy Lucy is that the burger is stuffed with loads of gooey cheese. We use Sargento® Creamery Sliced Natural Cheddar Cheese, made with added real cream, for an indulgent melt, and top the burger with a refreshingly crunchy slaw.

Ingredients
Vegetable oil
- 6
- 1 1/2 lb.
ground turkey meat
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 4
sesame hamburger buns
- 1 cup
shredded green cabbage
- 1/2 cup
shredded purple cabbage
- 1/2 cup
shredded carrot
- 1 Tbsp.
mayonnaise
- 1 Tbsp.
apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 tsp.
sugar
Large pinch celery seed
Directions
- Step 1Prepare a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Brush the grill with vegetable oil.
- Step 2Cut each slice of cheese into 4 squares.
- Step 3Divide turkey into 8 (3 oz. each) balls. Pat each ball into a 5-inch round patty.
- Step 4On 4 of the patties stack 6 squares of cheese on top of each other. Top with remaining 4 patties. Press edges together shape into a 4 1/2-inch circle. Season patties with salt and black pepper.
- Step 5Place buns on grill cut side down and grill until lightly toasted, about 30 seconds. Remove to a plate and keep warm.
- Step 6Grill patties covered, about 6 minutes per side. Let burgers rest on cutting board for 5 minutes.
- Step 7Meanwhile, combine both cabbages, the carrots, mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, and celery seed in a medium bowl. Season with salt and pepper and toss to coat.
- Step 8To assemble burgers, top bottom bun with a patty and top the patty with slaw. Serve immediately.
