In many cuisines, avocado is thought of as a savory ingredient. From guacamole to avocado toast, it is the perfect way to add some rich fattiness to a dish. However, if you are ever in Vietnam and craving that iconic super fruit, you’re bound to see it in desserts!
Avocados were brought to Vietnam in the 19th century by French colonizers and can now be seen most commonly in the popular snack, Sinh Tố Bơ.
Sinh Tố Bơ is a go-to hot weather treat. This delicious, velvety, pale-green milkshake will have you cooled down in no time. Condensed milk is used to heighten the naturally sweet and nutty flavors of ripe avocado. If that hasn’t convinced you to try it, the english translation of sinh tố bơ is “butter fruit smoothie”.
