Creamy Mushrooms
This recipe is a must for mushroom lovers, with shiitake, white and cremini mushrooms melded with a fragrant blend of minced garlic, white wine, heavy cream and onion. Serve with rice, pasta or any starch you prefer.

Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp. stick butter or margarine
- 3 Tbsp. minced shallot or onion
- 1 lb. cremini mushrooms
- 8 oz. shiitake mushrooms, stems removed
- 8 oz. small white (button) mushrooms
- 1 tsp. minced garlic
- 1/4 cup dry white wine
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tsp. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. Pepper
Directions
- Step 1Melt butter in a 12-inch skillet over medium heat. Add shallot and sauté 2 minutes or until soft, stirring constantly. Add mushrooms, increase heat to medium-high and cook until mushrooms are soft and liquid released evaporates, about 5 minutes. Stir in garlic and wine and cook 1 minute.
- Step 2Meanwhile whisk cream and flour in a small bowl until smooth. Add to skillet with the salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes or until sauce thickens.
- Step 3Can be made up to 2 days ahead. Refrigerate covered. Reheat over low heat before serving.
