In a hurry to get a delicious dinner on the table? We made fettuccine Alfredo—one of the most basic recipes around—even more effortless. The key is to cook the chicken from frozen. Add creamy Alfredo-coated pasta, and bacon (’cause why not), for a stress-free weeknight staple that always hits the spot.
Not only is using unthawed chicken safe, it’s a total time-saver. These new ones from Tyson are thinner sliced than before and have a faster cook time. We recommend cooking frozen chicken one of two ways: Sauté on the stovetop in a pan, like in this recipe, or bake it in the oven. Tyson recommends 20 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F, which you can confirm with the help of an inexpensive food thermometer.
Frozen chicken, like all other meat, needs proper seasoning. Make sure to hit both sides of your chicken breast with a generous amount of your chosen flavor-boosters. We used kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper for this recipe, but virtually any of your go-to dried herbs and spices will work their magic.

Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp.
extra-virgin olive oil
- 4
Tyson® Individually Frozen Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
Kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper
- 3
cloves garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 cups
whole milk
- 2 cups
low-sodium chicken broth
- 8 oz.
fettuccine
- 1/2 cup
heavy cream
- 1 cup
freshly grated Parmesan
pinch Cayenne pepper
- 1 Tbsp.
fresh lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp.
freshly chopped dill
- 2 Tbsp.
freshly chopped chives, plus more for garnish
- 4

Directions
- Step 1In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Season frozen chicken all over with salt and pepper and add to skillet. Cover and cook for 10 minutes, then flip chicken and cover again, cooking for an additional 10 minutes. Transfer chicken to a plate and let cool slightly; thinly slice.
- Step 2Meanwhile, return skillet to medium heat and add garlic. Cook, stirring frequently, until fragrant, 1 minute. Pour milk and broth into skillet, season with salt and pepper, and bring up to a simmer. Add fettuccine and simmer over medium heat, stirring frequently, until al dente, about 12 minutes.
- Step 3Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan, and a pinch of cayenne until combined. Simmer until sauce thickens. Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice, dill, chives, and sliced chicken. Garnish with bacon and more chives.
