A cheese ball is the perfect party appetizer. Easy to make ahead of time and served with an assortment of crackers or toasted bread everyone loves them. This classic dried beef cheese ball has chipped beef - or beef jerky! - mixed in and then gets rolled in more. It's certainly for the meat lover and it's everything they dream about.

Ingredients

(8-oz.) blocks cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup
shredded cheddar
- 1
small green bell pepper, finely chopped
- 4 oz.
(about 1 c.) dried or chipped beef, divided
- 2
green onions, thinly sliced, divided
- 1 Tbsp.
Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp.
garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp.
cayenne
Kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper
Crackers, for serving
Directions
- Step 1In a medium bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar, bell pepper, 1/4 cup dried beef, 1 green onion, Worcestershire, garlic powder, and cayenne. Season with salt and pepper.
- Step 2Form into a ball and wrap in plastic wrap. Refrigerate until firm, at least 2 hours.
- Step 3On a plate, combine remaining ¾ cup dried beef and remaining green onion. Unwrap cheese ball and roll into dried beef mixture to coat the outside.
- Step 4 Refrigerate until ready to serve. Serve with crackers.
