Here at Delish, we love eggs any way you cook 'em: hard-boiled, scrambled, sunny-side up. While it may take you a bit of practice to totally master making eggs perfectly every time, all you really need is patience with yourself and the willingness to let experience teach you over time.
Speaking of time, making runny-yolked soft-boiled eggs will require a timer. because timing is everything here. Six minutes is all an egg needs for that perfectly creamy center. To achieve an even cook throughout the egg, we start the cold eggs in cold water and bring them to a boil together. Once the water is at a strong boil, turn off the heat, cover your pot, and start your 6-minute timer. Once it beeps and time is up, drain immediately and shock with ice-cold water to stop the cooking process and preserve that runny yolk.
Master your omelettes, your low-carb egg noodles, and how to cook crispy bacon next and all your breakfasts will be set for life! And if plain old toast isn't jazzy enough for your gorgeous eggs, you might want to pair them with some buttery, garlicky, Texas toast instead.
