It really burns when a craving for homemade waffles hits and you realize your don't even own a waffle maker. Well, we have the backup plan. Grill them! A grill pan is the best hack of all time and makes some pretty cool looking waffles. These still cook up perfectly fluffy and have plenty of ridges for holding extra syrup. It's the perfect breakfast (or dinner 😉).

Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cups
all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup
granulated sugar
- 2 tsp.
baking powder
- 1 tsp.
baking soda
- 1/2 tsp.
kosher salt
- 1 1/2 cups
milk
- 4 Tbsp.
melted butter
- 3
large eggs
- 1 tsp.
pure vanilla extract
Cooking spray
Softened butter, for serving
Maple syrup, for serving
Directions
- Step 1In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In a medium bowl, whisk together milk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla. Add wet ingredients to dry and ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Step 2Heat a medium grill pan over medium heat and spray with cooking spray. Add about ½ cup batter in center of pan. Cook until bubbles form around edges and waffles are easy to flip, about 3 minutes, then flip and cook 2 minutes more. Repeat with remaining batter.
- Step 3Serve waffles warm with butter and maple syrup.
